Of course everything is bigger and better in Texas, so what better way to celebrate your birthday than at the Texas State Fair??? If you can think of it, they can fry it at the fair. We had fun sampling the various concoctions although you'd have to be there for weeks to try them all or risk a massive stomach ache. I tried to capture images of a few examples. Dax had fun riding the carnival rides and winning prizes from the carnies at the midway. You can see some videos at the bottom of this post. I have a few more pictures to add I took from Terry's phone after mine died. I'll post those once I get them.
GrandMouse proved 60 is the new 20, bolding riding the aptly named "Crazy Mouse." Cousin Em Shea was bold enough to go with her. The best part was she thought Emily could control the amount of spinning. The picture captured was priceless.
Needless to say we all had a rip roaring good time. Sadly Big Tex was a casualty. We made a whole weekend out of it, so stay tuned for more pics. It's going to be very hard to top this birthday.
