Happy Halloween! Daxton had a big day today in preparation for his hopefully homecoming tomorrow. He passed his car seat test and hearing test. Dr. Campbell the Chief of Cardiac Services and Director of Children’s Sibley Heart Center stopped by for a visit today. He said Daxton looked good to go home. He had his RSV and Hep B shot and was circumcised this evening. (poor baby!) Mom and Dad had to watch a 30 minute snoozer of a video on car seat safety. That is 30 minutes of our lives we’ll never get back.
We’ve been busy making last minute preparations and celebrating a little Halloween. Dad carved a special pumpkin for Daxton and Mom made caramel apples. Terry is making us all dinner tonight and Mouse is helping Jade tidy up the nursery for Dax.
We’re very excited for tomorrow and hope he keeps up his appetite during the night so he continues to gain weight. He weighed in at 5 lbs 10oz today and his billiruben is still going down.
To our friends and family… thank you so much for all the well wishes. Again, we are sorry we haven’t been able to personally respond to each one of you or post updates until now. We can’t wait to introduce our bundle of joy to you, but please give him some time to come home from the hospital and get adjusted to his home. The doctors have advised us not to have too many visitors at first, but we will let you know as soon as he is ready. Thank you for your patience and understanding! Thanks again to everyone!!!
