Breathing Tube is Out

Good morning everyone! I called at 5:30am this morning for an update. Dax had just been taken off the breathing tube after completely doing it on his own. YEAH!!! His nurse, Katie, said he was doing very well. His gas levels were good and he was fairly awake, but she was about to give him some more morphine so he could rest comfortably. He is on a little oxygen, but she said that was to be expected and he will probably need it for he next couple days. The ICU is closed for rounds until 11. We will go see him then.
