We got to see Daxton and he looks very good considering everything. It was of course very hard to see him that way, but good to know the worst part is behind us. He is sedated and in no pain. He should wake up sometime this evening and hopefully they can remove his breathing tube. His nurse, Stacy, told us to go home and rest up. As she put it, he's in great hands... he has a really good, really expensive babysitter. :) We might go back to see him tonight because I'm just not sure we can stay away till morning.
We want to thank everyone so much for their love and support... and especially to our family and friends who came to be with us today. We love you all and Dax can't wait to see you all very soon!
Love,
Bert, Jade, and Dax
